The 76-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 27-year-old woman, who was driving the vehicle involved, was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm. She was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. Her driver’s licence was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.
