RNC Charge CBS Woman with Fraud

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating allegations of fraud involving a Conception Bay South woman.

To date (December 20th, 2024) 46-year-old Valerie Barter has been charged in relation to fraudulent activity involving a not-for-profit violence prevention organization. She will appear in court today on charges of:

• Fraud under $5,000;

• Uttering a forged document; and,

• Forgery.

The investigation is ongoing.
