The RNC says three people were arrested and stolen property was recovered following an investigation in Conception Bay South earlier this week.
Police responded shortly after 7 a.m. on June 23 to a report of a gas-and-dash on the CBS Highway involving a driver who fled the scene in a school bus.
Officers reviewed surveillance footage and identified the driver as 23-year-old Logan Oake. The school bus was reported stolen later that morning, at approximately 9 a.m.
The bus was subsequently located on Minerals Road. While officers were investigating the area, a man fled from a nearby residence. Police arrested 41-year-old Roger Kennedy, who was wanted on outstanding warrants and was also charged with breaching a release order.
As the investigation continued, officers located Oake and 27-year-old Lucas Dawe at a residence in Long Pond shortly before noon.
Oake was charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, resisting arrest and breaching a release order. Dawe was charged with two counts of breaching a peace bond and one count of failing to comply with a probation order.
Both men were held in custody and were scheduled to appear in Provincial Court.
