RNC arrest two impaired drivers on NE Avalon #nltraffic

RNC on the northeast Avalon removed two impaired drivers from the roadways on Friday night.
Police responded to the Airport Heights area of St John’s after receiving a report of a possible impaired driver. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and arrested and charged a 55-year-old male with impaired driving. The male's driver's licence was suspended and his vehicle was impounded. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
Later, officers conducted a traffic safety stop on the CBS Highway. The 41-year-old male driver was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor vehicle and over 80 Mg/100 Ml. The male's driver's license was suspended, the vehicle being operated was impounded and he was released to appear in court at a future date.
