RNC Arrest Man for Trafficking In St. John’s

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) seized suspected cocaine and cash from a man in St. John’s.

As part of a drug trafficking investigation by the Weapons and Drug Enforcement Unit (WDEU), search warrants were executed at two St. John’s properties last night (July 8th). Officers located and seized:

• Just over 0.75 kg of cocaine

• 1 kg of hashish

• Prescription pills

• Contraband cigarettes

• Cash

• Drug paraphernalia

A 59-year-old man was arrested on drug-related offences and released with charges pending following the results of drug testing. The investigation is ongoing.
