RNC Arrest Erratic Driver in Corner Brook #nltraffic
On Wednesday evening Corner Brook RNC responded to a report of an erratic driver in the Murphy Square area.
Police performed a traffic stop on the parking lot of Staples and the driver was suspended from driving and the vehicle was not insured.
There were also open cans of beer inside the vehicle.
The male, a resident of Bell Island, was charged for Operating a Vehicle while Suspended, Operating a vehicle without a valid insurance policy in effect and Open Liquor in the Vehicle.
He was ticketed for the incident and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
The incident on Wednesday night was not the individual's only run-in with the police. On Saturday RNC conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle for speeding on the Lewin Parkway.
In that traffic stop, the driver was issued a speeding ticket and was suspended from driving as his blood-alcohol concentration exceeded 50 mg%.
The vehicle he was driving at that time was also impounded.
