The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is looking for public input on highway improvement projects to be considered for the upcoming 2025-26 road construction season, as well as future years.

Residents can submit their views or concerns, along with photos, to roadsplaninput@gov.nl.ca or via mail.

Residents are encouraged to provide highway information such as region, route name or number, the nearest municipality or landmark, and the type of highway issue being experienced. The deadline for submissions is end of day January 19.

Road projects that will be included in the plan will be based on safety; traffic volumes; socio-economic impacts; input from the general public; commercial, industry, and tourism impacts; populations serviced; the impacts of climate change; and assessments by the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure’s engineers.
