Regatta Day Forecast: Mild Temperatures Continue Across Newfoundland and Labrador Wednesday

Temperatures will vary widely across Newfoundland and Labrador today, with warm conditions continuing across much of western and central Labrador while cooler marine air keeps coastal communities and much of the Island comfortable.

The warmest weather is expected in western Labrador, where Churchill Falls is forecast to reach 23°C, while Labrador City climbs to 22°C under mainly sunny skies. Happy Valley-Goose Bay is expected to see a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 19°C.

Along the Labrador coast, cooler air will keep temperatures in the low teens. Nain and Hopedale are both forecast to reach 12°C under mostly cloudy skies, while Mary's Harbour is expected to top out near 13°C with a chance of showers.

Across Newfoundland, highs will generally range from the mid-teens to around 19°C.

On the west coast, Corner Brook is forecast to reach 17°C with showers, while Port Saunders will see a high of 15°C with a mix of sun and cloud and the risk of a few showers. St. Anthony is expected to remain cool at 16°C with periods of rain.

Central and eastern Newfoundland will enjoy slightly warmer conditions, with highs of 19°C forecast for Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, Marystown, Placentia and the Burin Peninsula, and St. John's. Most of these areas can expect a mix of sun and cloud, although a few isolated showers remain possible.
