Those whose primary residence was damaged or destroyed by the 2025 Newfoundland and Labrador Wildfires can receive help from the Canadian Red Cross.
The organization is providing support for repair and reconstruction. This support is available to homeowners, tenants, or those who live in a community-owned home.
Eligible homeowners may be able to receive financial assistance to help with costs related to housing repair and reconstruction, including professional services, expenses related to the repair or rebuilding of their home, expenses related to moving to a new location, and mental health and well-being supports.
Assistance is determined on a case-by-case basis and is not intended to duplicate insurance coverage or other assistance programs.
For more information, email nlsupport@redcross.ca or call 1-800-863-6582, Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Newfoundland Time.
