A recall has been issued by Vesta.
The Vesta Tankless Hot Water Heater has been recalled due to a carbon monoxide poisoning hazard.
Consumers should stop using the recalled water heater immediately and contact VESTA.DS to have a certified technician install the free repair.
The exhaust duct can crack, allowing gases to escape inside the home, posing a carbon monoxide poisoning hazard that can result in death or serious injury.
As of October 10, the company has received 10 reports of cracked exhaust ducts in Canada, and no reports of injury or death. In the United States, the company has received 33 reports of cracked exhaust ducts and no reports of injury or death.
