RCMP warns of a polar bear sighting in Melrose

There has been a polar bear sighting near Melrose in Trinity Bay North.

The Bonavista RCMP says that a bear and two cubs were spotted in the town last night.

At this time Provincial Wildlife Officers are engaged and residents are asked to avoid unnecessary travel to the area and do not travel in the wooded area surrounding the community.
