RCMP warning of polar bear on Fogo Island

The RCMP on Fogo Island is warning of an unwelcome visitor.

A polar bear has been spotted in Tilting, on the eastern end of Fogo Island.

Provincial wildlife officers have been informed.

Residents are asked to keep a distance from the bear and to report any sightings to Fogo Island RCMP at 709-266-2251.
