RCMP suspect arson in fire on Bell Island

The RCMP is investigating a fire that occurred on Friday morning at a home on Lance Cove Road on Bell Island.

The fire is being treated as an arson case. There was extensive damage to the home.

It was unoccupied at the time.

Officers received the report of a fire at the home shortly after 3:00 am. It is believed that the fire was set close to 2:00 am.

The investigation is continuing.
