RCMP stop speeding driver with learner's permit

The RCMP in New-Wes-Valley stopped a speeding car on Saturday.

The vehicle was operating at speeds more than 51 km/h above the speed limit.

When officers stopped the vehicle it was determined that the vehicle was uninsured and the driver only had a learner's permit and did not have an appropriate accompanying driver.

Police issued a ticket to the driver and the vehicle was seized.
