On Tuesday the RCMP seized five ATVs operating on roads in Harbour Grace and Carbonear.

Five people have been charged. Charges include operating an ATV outside an approved area and operating an ATV on a road without insurance and without a driver’s license.

The five ATVs have been impounded at the owners’ expense.

On November 30, RCMP launched a social media campaign and enhanced enforcement initiative targeting the reckless operation of recreational vehicles.
