RCMP responds to two-vehicle collision in Catalina, one driver arrested for impaired

A 52-year-old man has been arrested for impaired driving after a collision involving a car and an all-terrain vehicle on Christmas Eve in Catalina.
On Tuesday, RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a car and an ATV in Catalina on Route 230. Both drivers were transported to hospital for assessment. The driver of the ATV, showed signs of impairment and was arrested for impaired driving. The other driver was released from hospital with no major injuries.
The man’s ATV was seized and impounded, his license suspended, and he is set to appear in court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving. The driver of the ATV was also issued a ticket for operating an ATV without a helmet.
