RCMP responds to report of suspected impaired driver in Carbonear

On Sunday the RCMP arrested a 48-year-old man in Carbonear for impaired driving following the report of a suspected impaired driver.

Shortly before 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, RCMP received a report of a possible impaired driver in Carbonear. Police responded and located the described vehicle.

The driver showed signs of alcohol impairment and failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.

At the detachment, the driver provided breath samples that were above the legal limit. The vehicle was seized and impounded and the man’s licence was suspended.
