RCMP on west coast conducts traffic stop, arrests drug impaired driver

RCMP on the west coast conducted a traffic stop on Saturday afternoon in Doyles.

The driver, a 47-year-old woman, showed signs of drug impairment prompting an impaired operation investigation.

She was arrested for impaired operation and transported to the hospital, where blood samples were collected.

Police are awaiting on the results of the forensic blood analysis to determine if charges of impaired operation are appropriate.

The woman’s vehicle was deemed not road worthy and impounded.
