RCMP officer charged by SIRT-NL

SIRT-NL has charged an RCMP officer with perjury and obstructing justice.

The charges are in relation to testimony the officer gave at the Supreme Court of NL in June 2023.

Constable Paul Durdle has since resigned but was an active officer at the time of the alleged offence.

SIRT-NL director Michael King has charged Durdle with perjury and obstructing justice.

The accused will appear in court on May 14.
