RCMP looks to identify man involved in shoplifting from grocery store

The RCMP in Bay Roberts is investigating an alleged shoplifting incident that took place on December 2 from a grocery store.

On Thursday, police responded to a report of a theft from a grocery store in Bay Roberts.

A man entered the store and loaded up his cart with various expensive grocery items. He departed the business a short time later, without paying for the estimated $900.00 worth of merchandise.

The suspect, wearing a hooded black and grey coat, a non-medical mask, a black and green ball cap, blue jeans and black shoes, was captured on the store’s video surveillance system. Once outside the store, the man was seen placing the stolen goods inside a small grey car, believed to be a newer model Chevrolet Spark. The vehicle had no licence plate attached.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or CrimeStoppers.
