RCMP Investigating Fire at Vacant Home in L’Anse Au Clair

Forteau RCMP are investigating a fire that caused extensive damage to an unoccupied residence in L’Anse Au Clair late Wednesday night.

Police responded to a report of a structure fire at a vacant home on Harbour Drive at approximately 10:51 p.m. on Jan. 21. The L’Anse Au Clair Fire Department extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The Office of the Fire Commissioner has been consulted, and the investigation remains ongoing.
