RCMP investigating armed robbery in Grand Falls-Windsor

The RCMP is investigating an armed robbery in Grand Falls-Windsor.

Shortly before 2:30 am today, the RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K on Union Street.

Two masked men entered the store and approached the cashier. One man held the cashier at knifepoint and demanded cash from the cash register while the other kept watch at the front door.

Both of the suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and a quantity of beer. The cashier was not physically injured.

One man is described as being between six feet to six feet two inches tall and the other man is described as being between five feet nine inches to five feet eleven inches tall.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
