RCMP investigating after dog shot in Hopedale

The RCMP in Hopedale are asking for the public's help as they continue to investigate a report of a dog that was shot in the community on August 20.

The animal had broken free from its lead and later returned home with a noticeable injury.

The dog was transported to a veterinary clinic in Happy Valley-Goose Bay for medical treatment where it was confirmed that it had been shot with a rifle.

The investigation is continuing.
