RCMP Investigates Suspected Drug-Impaired Driver

The Bay St. George RCMP are investigating a suspected drug-impaired driver following a report.

A 36-year-old Stephenville man showed signs of drug impairment when police located the described vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

He was arrested and transported to the detachment where he completed a drug recognition evaluation.

Officers are waiting for the results of the testing to determine if he will be charged.

The driver was issued a driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was seized and impounded.
