RCMP investigates residential arson in Bishop’s Falls

Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP is investigating an arson that occurred shortly after midnight on June 17, at a home in Bishop’s Falls.

Residents of the Penton Heights home were alerted by a loud noise and saw an individual wearing dark-colored clothing running away from the property towards Centre Access Road. They then discovered a fire had been set.

While firefighters were en route, the fire was quickly extinguished by occupants of the home, who were uninjured. The property was significantly damaged.

The investigation is continuing.
