RCMP investigates break, enter and thefts in Buchans


The RCMP is investigating two recent reports of break, enter and theft at properties in Buchans.


On Sunday morning police received a report of a break and enter that occurred at a warehouse on Main Street.


Surveillance showed that the break and enter occurred shortly before 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. Suspect(s) broke one of the windows at the rear of the building to gain access.


The following items were stolen:

  • A red 3000-Watt Honda generator/inverter

  • A black 1000-Watt Hyundai generator

  • A blue Miller MIG Millermatic 211 welder on a tilted cart (can run on 120/250 volts)

  • A yellow DeWalt grinder and batteries (20-volt)

  • A red Big Red 6-Ton floor jack

A dark-coloured pickup truck was captured on surveillance departing the area at the time of the break and enter.


Back on January 3, officers responded to the report of an overnight break, enter and theft at a garage located on the Buchan’s Highway. In this instance, a Craftsman chop saw was stolen.
