RCMP Compels Driver Owing More Than $11,000 to Court #nltraffic

The RCMP issued an appearance notice for court on a driver who owes more than $11,000.00 in fines, who was driving without a driver’s licence and insurance on June 24.
At approximately 3:00 p.m., an officer, who was following up on a tip provided by the public, pulled the vehicle over on Route 430 near Deer Lake and determined that the driver had no driver’s licence and the vehicle was not insured.
The 51-year-old Reidville man was charged with similar offences in January 2019.
The man is now set to appear in court in September, to answer to his outstanding fines and new charges under the Highway Traffic Act for operating a vehicle without a driver’s licence and operating a vehicle without insurance.
Police seized and impounded the vehicle.
