After responding to a tip from the public, the RCMP arrested a driver in Shearstown who should have stayed home.

Last Thursday police arrested 24-year-old Hailey Ash-Squibb, for breaching her house arrest.

Police located the accused after receiving a report of a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed through Shearstown.

Ash-Squibb was found to be currently on house arrest and was in breach of her court-ordered sentence.

She was arrested, held in custody overnight and attended court on July 9, to answer to a charge of breaching a conditional sentence order.

She was released by the court and is scheduled to attend court again at a later date.
