The driver was released from custody and is set to appear in court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving, operating a vehicle while suspended and operating a vehicle without insurance. Police seized and impounded the car and issued a further suspension of the man’s driver’s licence.

Police attended the scene and found that the driver, a 37-year-old Witless Bay man, was impaired by alcohol.
