RCMP arrests impaired driver in Carbonear

Last Wednesday the RCMP arrested a suspected impaired driver in Carbonear.

The 34-year-old female was stopped by police. The woman showed signs of impairment and failed a roadside breath test.

She was arrested and transported to the detachment where she provided breath samples that were nearly twice the legal limit.

The accused was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving.

Her licence was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
