RCMP Arrest Man After Road Rage Incident

The RCMP arrested a 27-year-old man from Bishops Falls after a road rage incident that happened on the Trans-Canada Highway near Bishops Falls last weekend.

Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP received a 911 call from a man who reported he was just assaulted by another man who struck him with a baseball bat, causing non-life threatening injuries. The two men pulled their vehicles over to the side of the highway and got out after one man allegedly cut the other off.

A verbal altercation between the two quickly turned physical.

The accused was released from custody with a number of conditions and is set to attend court on November 18, 2020, to answer to a charge of assault with a weapon.
