RCMP and CBSA investigation results in the seizure of several firearms and suppressors
A joint RCMP and CBSA investigation has resulted in the seizure of several firearms and suppressors.
Earlier this month on May 3, an individual from Conception Bay South was arrested as part of the joint investigation. Canadian Postal Inspectors, the RNC and other RCMP Policing Units provided assistance.
Between April 11 and April 20, eight firearms suppressors destined for the individual’s home in Conception Bay South were intercepted and seized by the CBSA’s Greater Toronto Area Commercial Operations District.
Police later obtained a warrant to search the home. On May 4 the search warrant was executed. The search resulted in the seizure of 25 firearms.
The individual was released from custody. The investigation is ongoing and charges are expected.
