RCAF and Canadian Coast Guard to conduct exercise off coast of St. John’s

From Sunday to Thursday, Members of the Royal Canadian Air Force, Canadian Coast Guard, and Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary will take part in annual maritime rescue exercises based out of St. John’s.

During the week, residents and mariners in the area may see yellow RCAF CH-149 Cormorant search and rescue helicopters, as well as various CCG and CCGA vessels taking part in training offshore.

Exercises such as these ensure readiness throughout the year, in challenging weather and sea states.
