Public warned of Motor Registration text message scam

There is another scam making the rounds. There have been reports of a fraudulent text message regarding Motor Registration services is circulating within the province.
Recipients of the text message are asked to click a link and reset their password in order to receive a refund related to vehicle registration.
Residents are reminded that the Provincial Government does not communicate information about vehicle registration through text message.
People who receive the message should not click on any link provided or reset their password. They should delete the text message without responding, block the caller’s number, and report the message to local law enforcement.
Recipients are also encouraged to forward the message to 7726. This will alert your cellular provider to open an investigation on the contents of the message.
