Public Engagement Sessions Scheduled for Proposed Indian Arm Brook Protected Area

The Department of Environment and Climate Change will be holding an in-person public engagement session on the proposed Indian Arm Brook protected area on Wednesday, November 22 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The session will be hosted by the Wilderness and Ecological Reserves Advisory Council at the Lewisporte Lions Club on Bowater Avenue in Lewisporte.
An additional session is scheduled for Thursday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the Norris Arm Heritage and Arts Centre, 202 Citizens Drive, Norris Arm.
Those wishing to attend can register through the EngageNL.
In October, the Department of Environment and Climate Change and the Wilderness and Ecological Reserves Advisory Council commenced a multi-year public engagement process on ten proposed protected areas, beginning with site-specific engagement on the proposed Indian Arm Brook ecological reserve. The in-person sessions are the first step in this multi-phased project.
