Public consultation dates announced on naming of Red Indian Lake

There will be public consultations on the naming of Red Indian Lake.
Minister Responsible for Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation Lisa Dempster announced the launch of a consultation process.
Residents of the Red Indian Lake area have an opportunity to take part in the engagement process by attending a public session.
Public sessions for residents of Buchans, Millertown and Buchans Junction are scheduled for Tuesday, May 18 and Wednesday, May 19. Minister Dempster will be present to listen to the views of residents.
The Provincial Government, in collaboration with the Indigenous Leadership, committed to a process by which residents would have an opportunity to have their views heard on this issue.
