Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology Andrew Parsons will join officials from the Provincial Government in attending the 24th World Petroleum Congress in Calgary, Alberta, from September 17-21.
The World Petroleum Congress brings together officials and leaders from oil and gas-producing nations every three years to discuss energy matters.
The congress generally attracts more than 10,000 delegates from 100 countries. This year’s theme is “Energy Transition-The Path to Net Zero”.
This is the first time in over 20 years Canada has won a bid to host the World Petroleum Congress.
