Provincial Government Hosts Job Fair in Fort McMurray

Premier Andrew Furey is in Fort McMurray, Alberta with employers that are eager to draw workers back to this province where there is a growing demand for specific skills.

Furey stated that Newfoundland and Labrador expects to have 79,000 job openings within the next decade.

Most of these jobs will be in skilled trades, transport and equipment operations, as well as sales and service industries, with the province expecting to face a shortage of workers to fill these vacancies.
