Provincial Government Announces More Than $3.1 Million for Arts and Heritage Organizations

The Provincial Government is providing more than $3.1 million in funding to organizations across Newfoundland and Labrador through the Cultural Economic Development Program.

The announcement was made by Andrea Barbour, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation.

More than 100 organizations are receiving funding through the program. The funding is intended to strengthen communities, create opportunities for artists, musicians and heritage organizations, and enhance cultural experiences for both residents and visitors.

Funded organizations will support a wide range of activities in the coming months, including festivals, concerts, theatrical productions, art exhibitions, dance performances, heritage and ancestry initiatives, community celebrations, family-friendly events and other cultural programming.
