Provincial & Federal Governments provide funds for fuel switching project in Stephenville

The provincial and federal government is investing money for a fuel switching project for the Town of Stephenville.

Over $670,000 has been announced to replace the oil heating system with electric boilers in the Bay St. George YMCA. The project will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 205 tonnes annually.

The Town of Stephenville is receiving $271,393 from the Federal Government; $226,138 from the Provincial Government and the town is contributing $180,951 in support of the project.
