Provincial budget coming in April

The provincial government will deliver the budget in about a month. Budget 2022 will be delivered on Thursday, April 7.

Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance Siobhan Coady will table the budget.

In a release, the Department of Finance says the budget will set a direction as we work together to achieve a strong, smart, self-sufficient and sustainable province while addressing our financial challenges.

In November the province’s projected deficit for 2021-22 was revised to $595 million, an improvement of $231 million from the Budget 2021 forecast.
