The Newfoundland and Labrador government has extended the application deadline for the 2026 Job Creation Partnerships program, giving eligible organizations additional time to submit project proposals.

The new deadline is July 10, replacing the previous application cutoff date.

The Job Creation Partnerships program supports community-based, non-profit projects that provide work experience opportunities for individuals eligible for Employment Insurance benefits. The program is designed to help participants develop skills and improve their prospects for long-term employment.

Eligible organizations can submit applications through the provincial government's online application system. Officials are encouraging applicants to review program guidelines before applying.

The province said assistance is available to organizations requiring help with the application process through Employment Centres, a dedicated telephone support line and email support.

Funding for the program is provided through the Canada–Newfoundland and Labrador Labour Market Development Agreement, which supports employment and workforce development initiatives throughout the province.
