Province, City, and RNC issue statement on Public Safety in Mount Pearl

Minister of Justice and Public Safety Bernard Davis, Mount Pearl Mayor Dave Aker, and RNC Chief Pat Roche issued a joint statement on Friday on public safety in Mount Pearl.

In an effort to address the public safety concerns of the residents of Mount Pearl, the Provincial Government, the City of Mount Pearl and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary have committed to working together to develop a community safety plan and a situation table for the City of Mount Pearl.

A commitment has also been made to consult with various community stakeholders to identify and provide guidance on the development of related public safety initiatives. Residents are also encouraged to contact the police and report any suspicious activity that they see.
