Province admits cyberattack on IT services

The provincial government has admitted that the province's health IT systems were hit with a cyberattack that rendered most of the services inoperable.

The RCMP announced on Tuesday that they have launched a criminal investigation into the attack.

Minister Haggie said those responsible may be monitoring comments made in both the media and in the House of Assembly so officials need to be careful what they say.

The government became aware of the issue on Saturday morning when systems started to fail.
