Police stop two street racers on Kenmount Road

On Thursday evening at 9:40 p.m., RNC officers were patrolling on Kenmount Road in St. John’s when they observed two vehicles start racing side by side from a green light.

The speed of both vehicles was clocked at reaching in excess of 100 km/h. With

the assistance of another patrol unit, traffic stops were conducted on both vehicles.

As a result, both the 20 and 35 year old operators received summary offence tickets for racing upon a highway and their vehicles were impounded.
