Police stop speeding driver with unsecured Sea-Doo

On Thursday afternoon the RCMP stopped a speeding driver on the Trans-Canada Highway near Steady Brook.

The vehicle, with a Sea-Doo in tow, was travelling 152 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

Police conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the 25-year-old male driver was towing an unregistered trailer without the proper towing connections.

The man was ticketed for speeding, having expired trailer registration, and having improper towing connections.

The vehicle was seized and impounded and a licence suspension was issued. The Sea-Doo was removed from the roadway.
