Police stop driver owing $10K in fines

RCMP stopped a speeding vehicle on the TCH in Deer Lake on Friday.

The 26-year-old driver was suspended from driving and owed more than $10,000.00 in fines.

Officers charged the man with driving while suspended and ill appear in court to account for his unpaid fines.

His car was seized and impounded.

The man will appear in court at a later date.
