Police seize large quantity of drugs in the metro area

The RNC has seized a quantity of drugs with the assistance of Canada Post.

This month police launched an investigation into the importation of controlled drugs into the province.

On Thursday the RNC, with the assistance of Postal Inspectors with Canada Post, executed multiple search warrants resulting in the seizure of 3 kilograms of cocaine and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

This investigation resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old man from Conception Bay South. The man was arrested and released pending further investigation.

The approximate street value of the drugs seized is in excess of $150,000.
