Police seize firearm, drugs and cash from Corner Brook residence
The RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation West has seized a firearm, drugs and cash from a Corner Brook residence after executing a search warrant on Thursday.
Police located and seized a firearm and various drugs, including cocaine and methamphetamine, along with a large quantity of prescription narcotics including morphine, hydromorphone, and methadone.
A quantity of cash, unstamped cigarettes and a large amount of stolen property, including tools, credit cards and debit cards were also seized.
As a result, two individuals were arrested. A 29-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman now face charges of trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine.
The two were released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
At the same time, officers are seeking to arrest another individual, who was not present at the time of the search, in relation to the items that were located inside the home.
The investigation is continuing.
