Police seize drugs and a firearm during traffic stop in Labrador west

The RNC in Labrador City has seized a quantity of drugs and a firearm.

On Monday the RNC responded to a possible impaired driving complaint in the area of route 500, west of Labrador City.

Responding officers located the vehicle and as a result of the investigation, a loaded firearm and drugs were seized.

A 32-year-old male was arrested on several firearms-related offences and held for court.

The investigation is continuing and more charges are anticipated.
